Santa Cruz Firefighters rescue teams are looking for a 13-year-old boy who fell into a drainage canal in the Ecological Cordon of the Fourth Ring, while trying to get public transportation.
Likewise, rescue teams travel to find a girl of the same age who disappeared on the banks of the Piraí River, whose flow increased considerably due to the rains.
In the first case, three children were walking home and when they passed near the canal, two of them slipped and fell. Only one of them managed to be rescued.
“They slipped, slipped and did not come out again, they were able to get one that was smaller,” the boy’s father told Cadena A through tears while the mother clung to the railings of a bridge without finding comfort.

“His name is Marvin, we pray that his son can be found safe and sound, I would beg them to please (the rescue teams),” commented another person who accompanied the family.
With hopes almost extinct due to the passage of several hours, the father said that they hope to find at least the body of his son.
Disappeared in Piraí
Earlier, local media reported the disappearance of a girl on the banks of the Piraí River. According to the investigations, she would have been dragged by the strong current of the water along with another girl, but only one of the two managed to be rescued.
“Unfortunately this time we are searching for a girl who has disappeared on the river bank,” Álvaro Castillo, a member of Volunteer Firefighters, told Unitel.
“A couple of witnesses indicate that two girls had fallen and one of them managed to get out and the other saw that it submerged and they could not see it again. The attempts of the residents of the place were in vain,” he added.
The search was momentarily paralyzed at night due to the intensity of the waters of the Piraí River.
