The Pit-Cnt issued a statement in relation to the decisions that were being made by the government about the fire that last Saturday the 6th in English Store first and in a large part of Punta Shopping later.
Through a statement, the Executive Secretariat of the labor union, after receiving a delegation from the Uruguayan Federation of Commerce and Services Employees (Fuecys), released a statement to the public to express themselves about the event.
“Our solidarity with the workers and their respective families in the face of the uncertainty generated by this fact,” expresses a fragment of the statement, adding that “we salute the MTSS decree that contemplates the possibility of unemployment insurance for all workers in Punta Shopping”.
Another of the stated points states that “given that the subsidy in this sector amounts to $14,000, we ask the Executive Power to carry out complementary actions that allow a higher income.”
In addition, the text added days ago that “regarding the possibility of having avoided this disaster, we want to express that the union organization had made calls for attention regarding the state of the fire network and the absence of a brigade with training from the fire department.”
