Due to high inflationary pressure, the guild of domestic workers prepares to claim a wage increase that is above the price index.
Since the sector they anticipated that they will request a salary increase, so that it is left with a floor of $100,000; while the working hours domestic workers They will charge it at $800.
Currently, the domestic workers they earn per hour, depending on the categories of services, between $362 and $479; while the monthly salary ranges from $44,517 to $60,832.
From the Union of Workers of Private Houses (SiTraCP) reported that they will demand “a salary increase of 100%, taking into account that our income is below the poverty line”.
In this way, the sector hopes to discuss the new increase in the next joint ventures, which are expected to take place in the middle of this month, since, as previously agreed, the last increase occurred in July.
The union will set its proposal, in accordance with what is established at the next meeting of the Salary Council, where Employers, workers and the Government will decide the next increases for the minimum wage.
The meeting had initially been called by the Minister of Labor, Claudio Moroni, for August 18, but was postponed until the 22nd at the request of the CGT (General Labor Confederation) and the UIA (Argentine Industrial Union).
