Counterpoint cancels project in the neighborhoods in rejection of the promotion of the project with the face of Jhonny Fernández

The crossroads group Counterpoint decided to cancel the concert series Counterpoint in the Neighborhoods 2022which had the support of the Municipal Secretary of Culture, in rejection of the promotion of the project with Jhonny’s face Fernandez.

The first version of Counterpoint in the neighborhoods was presented last year. This year, the call was launched with the photo of Contrapunto accompanied by an image of the mayor, a reason that the group found sufficient to send a letter to the secretariat indicating the cancellation of the project.

“The idea was to present this cycle in the 15 districts of the city, last year four were held and this year six were planned.. Unfortunately, in this administration there is no possibility of continuing, The truth is, we don’t want to be inside something that Jhonny does. We are very sorry for the project and for the people of the neighborhoods, but We are not here to get involved in political issues”, indicated Lalo Chávez, a member of the group.

Counterpoint in the neighborhoods consists of auditions to discover new talents. The group qualifies the best in these auditions and the winners participate as opening act for the group.
