The Public Ministry reported this Saturday morning that after a hearing with the stepfather and mother of an 11-month-old infant, who died after being beaten on August 8 in Arraiján, Panama Oeste province, they were sentenced to 30 years in prison, for the crimes of aggravated homicide and child abuse.
The Prosecutor of the West Panama Homicide and Femicide Section, Sherly Barría reported that “the victim received multiple traumas to his anatomy and died as a result of them, establishing that in the autopsy he showed signs of child abuse.”
