Cuba registered 101 cases of Covid-19 at the end of August 12 in another day where no deaths are regretted, the most recent specifies update of the Ministry of Public Health (MINSAP) of the Island.
The information indicates that a total of 619 people are hospitalized, including 224 suspects and 395 active confirmed patients throughout the country.
Yesterday, a total of 2,092 samples were taken for epidemiological surveillance, which resulted in 101 positive samples, of which 56 were women and 45 men.
Of the total cases, 69 were registered through previously confirmed cases, in three a source of infection was found abroad and 29 did not specify a source of infection so far. There are seven asymptomatic cases.

Among the age groups of the 101 diagnosed cases, 54 were under 20 years old, from 20 to 39 years old (19), from 40 to 59 years old (11), while among those over 60 years old the figure rose to 17 people.
Holguín, with 34 cases, and Santiago de Cuba, Sancti Spíritus and Las Tunas with 11, are the provinces with double digits in the number of infected cases, in a day where only Granma did not report positive cases.
The MINSAP report explains that two evacuees were evacuated, 57 returned to their countries, 104 medical discharges were granted and 4 patients are kept in Intensive Care rooms: one reported critical and three serious.
