Gustavo Petro spoke about the case of Prosecutor Pecci

The President of the Republic of Colombia, Gustavo Petro, spoke through his social networks about the case of the death of former Prosecutor Marcelo Pecci and Sebastián Marset, a 31-year-old man linked to the First Uruguayan Cartel.

“The investigation into the murder of Paraguayan prosecutor Marcelo Pecci committed by Uruguayan drug trafficker Marset in Colombian territory shows that drug trafficking ceased to be a Colombian-American bilateral problem a long time ago and is today an American and world problem,” said the president.

He added that “the anti-drug strategy used so far has strengthened rather than weakened the mafia forces. The Colombian prosecutor’s office here managed to show investigative efficiency. Congratulations”.

Sebastián Enrique Marset Cabrera was identified as one of the intellectual authors of the murder of prosecutor Marcelo Pecci, which occurred in May during his honeymoon in Colombia. Marset is part of the First Uruguayan Cartel (PCU) and is the head of the Paraguayan criminal organization involved in the “A Ultranza Py” operation. For years he has been a fugitive from the Uruguayan Justice.
