The reformulation of General State Budget 2022 It could be submitted before the 25th and contemplates the need for financing of between RD$50,000 and RD$60,000 million, due to a considerable increase in the resources allocated to social subsidies.
This was announced by the General Director of the Budget, Jose Rijo Presbotduring a meeting with journalists from different media outlets, where he indicated that State revenues as of August amount to RD$564.8 billion, while expenses amount to RD$593.3 billion.
The official assured that the deficit presented by the budget corresponds to increased public spending in some RD$14,540 million (RD$37, 678.6 MM to RD$52,218.6 MM) intended to mitigate the effects of the Russia-Ukraine war on the Dominican economy.

He pointed out that the initial subsidy for the Aliméntate program was RD$26.730 million, increased to RD$31.680 million.
For the cheap dining rooms RD$2,644.8 million, increasing to RD$4,748.6 million.
Meanwhile he Gas Bonus it went from RD$2,628 million to RD$7,010 million; Light Bonus from RD$2,050 million to RD$3,013.2 million.
Meanwhile, the resources allocated to the Social Plan went from RD$2,450 to RD$3,650 million and from the Price Stabilization Institute (Inespre) from RD$1,175.3 million to RD$2,116.8 million.
Also, subsidies for agricultural imports: RD$25 million for seed certification, RD$450 million pledge of rice, RD$1,221 million for fertilizers, imports of corn, wheat, soybeans, flour and vegetable fat RD$1,383 million more.
On fuel subsidies
The general director of the budget, José Rijo Presbot, revealed this Thursday that they will present the nation’s reformulated budget on August 25.
During a meeting with journalists, the official explained that in March of this year it was projected that to complete the year some 50 billion pesos would be needed just for the fuel subsidy, however, due to the behavior and financing of oil it is estimated that only about 45 billion are needed.
