The Electric Union reported that the Antonio Guiteras Thermoelectric Power Plant (CTE), in Matanzas, was synchronized with the National Electric System.
Last Wednesday it was learned that it was in the cooling process to proceed later to the assessment of a puncture, responsible for a consumption of raw water greater than the capacity that the industry can produce.
That day, around 3:00 pm, the National Electric System went out due to the water deficit.
The CTE Guiteras is distinguished by being located in the western area, where the largest electrical loads are concentrated. It consumes national crude by pipeline, and therefore no transportation expenses are necessary.
