The General Directorate of Livestock (Digega) reported that through the Directorate of Extension and Livestock Development, it will end the year 2021 with the delivery of 70 sheep and goat breeding stallions.
Additionally, the institution has 20 trainings on the agenda in the border provinces, in coordination with the executive director of the Special Fund for Agricultural Development (FEDA), Hecmilio Galván, as part of a strategic alliance between the two public sector institutions, with the purpose of supporting producers.
Alejandrito Batista, director of Extension and Livestock Development of DIGEGA, who released the information, stressed that when producers work together, their projects are translated into collective benefit.
The actions implemented are part of the Plan for Relaunching, Repopulating and Development of the Dominican sheep sector, whose executing agency is the FEDA and the Banco Agrícola financier.
