The legislator of Cambio Democrático, Elizabeth Cortezannounced that he filed a complaint with the Ethics Commission of the Congress of the Republic against his colleague María del Carmen Alva, from Acción Popular, for having attacked her inside the chamber.
In her social networks, the leftist legislator emphasized that the violence of the “elite” should not have more impunity.
“JTogether with my bench I am presenting an official letter to denounce Mrs. Maricarmen Alva before ethics for the aggression against me, which is, at the same time, against all working women in our country. The arrogance and violence of the elite of our country should no longer enjoy impunity“, wrote.
It should be noted that Alva Prieto has apologized on his social networks after the incident. In his publication he pointed out that his reaction was not correct.
How did the incident occur?
The incident occurred during a suspension of the plenary session after incidents that occurred between Norma Yarrow and pro-government legislators. At approximately 11 am, it became known that Congressman Wilson Soto (Popular Action) suffered a decompensation.
The parliamentarian remained seated in his seat and in the images you can see how María del Carmen Alva approaches, while others talk with Soto, including Isabel Cortez.
It is at that moment that an argument begins between Alva and Cortez in front of Wilson Soto, who remained motionless in his place. It was Ernesto Bustamente, from Fuerza Popular, who separated the former president of Parliament and took her away from her while they continued to exchange phrases with the parliamentarian from Together for Peru.
