Mery Gutiérrez, appointed as Minister of Information and Communications Technologies (ICT), would not be in office this Thursday. This was stated by Mauricio Lizcano, director of the Administrative Department of the Presidency (Dapre), in an interview with W Radio.
Apparently the president of Colombia “would be evaluating and studying all the guidelines” of that appointment.
It should be remembered that since the beginning of this week it was known that Mery Gutiérrez was the majority shareholder of the company Programar Televisión, a company that had contracts with state entities and for which they prevented her from assuming the position as minister.
As revealed by EL TIEMPO, the Programar Televisión company held an extraordinary meeting shortly before the inauguration of President Gustavo Petro, according to a document they registered with the Chamber of Commerce, “there was a last-minute change in the name of its legal representative ”.
“The main shareholder of that programmer is the newly appointed Minister of Information and Communications Technologies (ICT), Mery Janeth Gutiérrez Cabezas, who also (until 24 hours ago) appeared as her legal representative,” said EL TIEMPO in its Article.

In addition, it was also learned that the company Programar Televisión sued the state “for nullity control and reestablishment of the right” against the National Television Authority, which is now under the hands of the Communications Regulatory Commission.
