Rosario Murillo assures that her regime “will not allow itself to be subdued or that peace will be taken away”

Rosario Murillo attributes "political maturity" to her regime's decision to reject Hugo Rodríguez

The Vice President of Nicaragua, Rosario Murillo, assured that her regime will not allow itself to be subjugated by countries that “try to dominate and intervene” in the internal affairs of the country.

«How many battles have we waged against the intervention, the attempts at domination, against all those who have wanted to subjugate Nicaragua! We know that thanks to God they have not achieved it, nor could they nor will they be able to; because here we are », said Murillo, in his intervention by the official media this Wednesday, August 10.

In addition, he reiterated that his dictatorship will “never, ever again” allow them to take away “the peace” that they have built in Nicaragua in recent years.

«We know that the future belongs to us, because we are a good people, dedicated, devoted, loving, generous, kind; a people that will never leave itself, never again takes away peace,” said the deputy president.

Rosario Murillo threatens to “banish hatred”, in clear allusion to the Nicaraguan opposition

Rosario Murillo argued that the Nicaraguan people “support” his regime fighting to maintain “peace” in the country. “That is the irrevocable decision of Nicaraguan families everywhere, because it is with peace, with love, with security, that we have stability and that we will have more and more prosperity,” she said.

For its part, the Ortega-Murillo administration has escalated the repression and persecution against the leaders of the Catholic Church in Nicaragua, arguing that they do so to maintain the “stability, peace, and security” of the country.

In this way, the Police at the service of the dictatorship ordered to open an “investigation” against Monsignor Rolando Álvarez, bishop of the Diocese of Matagalpa, for allegedly “organizing violent groups” and inciting them to carry out “acts of hate to” destabilize the State of Nicaragua”.

Also, Murillo indirectly threatened Álvarez with jailapplying their repressive laws created on the grounds that they “provoke and flaunt impunity.”
