Madrid Spain.- A Havana family had to stay outdoors with their belongings after the collapse of their house, located on Habana Street, between Teniente Rey and Muralla, in Old Havana.
The activist Ariel Góngora, who shared live images of what happened in the early hours of this Tuesday, he specified that among the members of the family there is a baby.
“Fortunately, none of the residents in the house was injured, but when they were left without a roof, they decided to place the baby’s crib, the beds and other furniture on the road,” says Góngora.
The activist also shows that only police officers and not medical personnel, ambulances or rescuers attended the scene.
A user identified as Barby Da Queen shared images of the place and questioned: Where will they go now? Who will help them?
In the photos shared on social networks, mattresses, chairs, tables, appliances and the baby’s crib can be seen.
While the Cuban regime does not stop the construction of hotels, events like this occur frequently. Cubans, especially in the municipalities of Centro Habana and Habana Vieja, have to deal with the possibility of these landslides, which often cause the loss of human lives. These types of accidents are caused by the abandonment of structures in danger of collapsing.
