For Libertadores, they face Estudiantes (Argentina) from 21:30 (Brasília time) this Thursday, at the Jorge Luis Hirschi stadium, in La Plata. The first leg ended with a 0-0 draw at Arena da Baixada, in Curitiba. Thus, any tie takes the decision to penalties. Whoever wins guarantees a spot in the semifinals.
Despite a marathon of confrontations, coach Luiz Felipe Scolari guarantees that Hurricane is prepared: “Thursday we have a decisive game. We know how to face Estudiantes and they also know how to face us. We are going to have the difficulty of the stadium, with a very strong opponent’s vibration, but we already know how to face these details. Let’s see if we can, with technical quality, overcome them. Then comes Flamengo, another decision, and so we go until the end of August at least to see if we have passed two more phases in the two important competitions to breathe a little. It is important that we grow not only in Brazil, but in Latin America. Athletico-PR is a big club, and it can become much bigger, but it has to take steps, and we are heading towards that”.

After Estudiantes, Hurricane has two consecutive matches against Flamengo. Next Sunday (14) for the Brazilian Championship and on Wednesday (17) in the return match of the quarterfinals of the Copa do Brasil. The situation is the same as in the confrontation with Estudiantes, the only difference is that Hurricane decides the spot in Arena da Baixada. At Maracanã, the red-blacks were 0-0.
