The bodies of the 15 Venezuelans who died in a traffic accident in Nicaragua on July 27 were repatriated to the country after coordination between the governments of Nicaragua and Venezuela.
The bodies were handed over to a delegation made up of the Venezuelan ambassador to Nicaragua, José Francisco Javier Arrué de Pablo, and to the authorities of the Chancellery of the Republic, the Managua mayor’s office and the National Police, reported a Press release of the Nicaraguan Judiciary.
The Venezuelan ambassador in Nicaragua, Javier Arrué de Pablo, accompanied the delegation that went to the Managua International Airport to carry out the respective procedures.
“I have no choice but to thank the Nicaraguan government, Commander Daniel Ortega and Comrade Rosario Murillo, all of you as institutions of this country, who have been willing to serve a tragic, sad but forced situation,” said the Venezuelan diplomat. .
“I am infinitely grateful for what you did and continue to do, know that the Venezuelan government and the people will once again be infinitely grateful to you.”
Ambassador Arrúe commented that after the process of identifying the deceased, he confirmed the learning process, the high technical level of Nicaragua and its development for care in unexpected situations.
The delegation was made up of Julio Espinoza, director of the Institute of Legal Medicine (IML), representatives of the Nicaraguan Foreign Ministry, the mayor of Managua and the Nicaraguan Police.
Espinoza explained that this was a joint effort with several state institutions and that thanks to the support of the Venezuelan and Nicaraguan governments it was possible to complete the work.
Relatives of the victims appeared this Wednesday at the Bello Monte morgue for the recognition of the bodies.

The bus covered the Managua route to Jalapa, a municipality near the northern border of Nicaragua with Honduras.
Initially the death of 13 Venezuelans was confirmed and two days later the vice president of Nicaragua, Rosario Murillo, ad the death of two other Venezuelans.
Since then, the governments of Nicaragua and Venezuela have worked together to deal with the situation and locate the relatives of the victims so that they give their consent for the repatriation of the bodies.
