The SENAN Search and Rescue and Special Forces group was transferred in the AN-140 aircraft and arrived at the accident area after a 3-hour journey.
In coordination with the National Civil Protection System (Sinaproc), the National Aeronaval Service (SENAN) carried out the search and rescue operation for the crew of the helicopter that crashed on the morning of this Tuesday, August 10, in the mountain range between Bocas del Toro and Chiriqui.
Specifically, the operation was carried out by the Joint Task Force made up of the AAC SAR, SENAN, the Panamanian Red Cross, the National Police and SINAPROC, who rescued the six passengers from the helicopter with license plate HP1806RK.

Captain Bolívar Patiño, Chief in charge of the Air Operations Center, said that they received the accident alert at 11:00 in the morning, so they immediately sent 2 paramedics, two jungle rescuers and three special forces units to carry out the rescue.
