With the aim of improving the process and procedures carried out in public institutions by legal professionals, companies and citizens in general, the Ministry of Government presented the platform for the digitalization of Legal Entities, which was carried out within the framework of the International Congress of Lawyers. It was up to the General Secretary of the Mingob, Cristóbal Tuñón, to present the digital platform that will facilitate the procedures that for many years were done manually.
Tuñon pointed out that the designed platform will improve obtaining legal status in Panama, bringing benefits to users and to all those associations, foundations, congregations, religious communities, federations, subsidiaries, non-profits whose purpose is the common good. The lawyer will be able to follow up on the process from the platform, see their status within the process, identify the collaborator who is responsible for the process, have access to it and know the processing times.
In the year 2021, around 340 resolutions were issued, giving a margin of 29 resolutions per month.
“We have noticed that there is a greater concentration of processing time in queries sent to other institutions and that the delay between submitting the query and its proper attention by other institutions may be between 3 and 4 months, so we must understand that, Since the institutions are interconnected to this platform, we will have to simplify the process and with them minimize the time”, explained the Secretary General of the Mingob.
