A tourist of Spanish nationality found sudden death on the morning of last Wednesday, when he was leaving a central hotel in the city of Cusco.
The incident occurred at approximately 10:00 a.m. when José Manuel Allue Castillo (58) was preparing to leave the El Dorado hotel, located on the second block of El Sol avenue.
Witnesses point out that the tourist suddenly fell to the ground, being treated in an emergency by the lodging staff, however, he would not have resisted long and perished on the spot.
The foreigner’s body remained on the site for about two hours, guarded by agents from the Tourism Commission. Once in the place, the fiscal of Tourism of Cusco, Alberti Huacac, ordered the removal of the case and the expert examinations.
“There is no evidence of a criminal cause or death with crime, at least according to the first indications. The man was already leaving our city and when he left he collapsed, he was given first aid by the lodging but to no avail”, the prosecutor pointed out.
The authority also mentioned that at the time of the event, the tourist was accompanied by one of his relatives, who notified the hotel workers and the Police. “I had already seen Machu Picchu and other attractions, I was heading to the airport and unfortunately this happened”, authority ended.
