Vaccination certificate will be mandatory in Guayaquil

The measure will take effect from December 22 and will be applied for admission to massive public shows and events in closed places.

As of Wednesday, December 22, 2021, to attend shows and massive events in closed places in Guayaquil the presentation of the vaccination certificate with the two doses applied or one negative anticovid test PCR or antigens.

This was ordered this December 20 by the Cantonal Emergency Operations Committee (COE) after a meeting to determine measures to stop the increase in infections of Covid-19 and an eventual massive spread of the new variant of the coronavirus.

Included in the provision are entrance to restaurants, hotel rooms, event rooms, theaters and convention centers. The measure will be applied initially for 60 days, after which its continuity will be evaluated. (LAG)
