Sometimes the rustler in the bushes is actually a monster. The actor of the moment Idris Elbe (Fast & Furious: Hobbs & Shaw, The Suicide Squad) stars “Beast”, a new and exciting thriller about a father and his two teenage daughters who find themselves chased by a huge lion trying to prove that the jungle only has one top predator.
Elba plays Nate Daniels, a recently widowed doctor who returns to South Africa., where he met his wife, on a long-planned trip with his daughters to a hunting area controlled by Martin Battles, an old family friend and wildlife biologist. But what begins as a journey of healing turns into a terrifying struggle for survival when a lion, having escaped bloodthirsty poachers and now sees all humans as the enemy, begins to stalk them.
The Daniels daughters are played by 18-year-old Iyana Halley (Meredith).and Leah Sava Jeffries (Norah), 13, as well as Riley Keough and South African Sharlto Copley.
“Baltasar Kormákur, a filmmaker recognized for titles such as Everest, Jar City and 2 Guns, once again directs a survival film, but this time he does it in Africa,” he says. Sandra Cortez, marketing manager of Andes Films, distributor of the film in Boliviaadding that the new feature film, 133 minutes full of action and suspense, will hit all movie theaters in the country on Thursday, August 11.
