Journalist Caesar Hildebrandt commented on the most recent survey by the Institute of Peruvian Studies (IEP) for La República, which shows that Daniel Urresti and Rafael López Aliaga lead the preferences for mayor of Lima Metropolitan.
“25.4% for Mr. Urresti and 22% for Mr. Rafael López Aliaga. The others (candidates) are far away. So we are between Urresti and López Aliaga in the city of Lima, which will make Lima the horrible become Lima the horrible. I have no doubt with either of these two,” Hildebrandt said on his weekly podcast.
“Who guarantees us that Lima will stop growing in a monstrous and carcinogenic way? Neither. Who guarantees us that from the Municipality of Lima there will not be disgusting deals to change the zoning of some “desirable” districts like Surco, where (Carlos) Bruce wants to be mayor? I can imagine the Urresti-Bruce or López Aliaga-Bruce combination, my goodness!”, pointed out the director of the weekly Hildebrandt in his thirteen.
According to the IEP survey, the third place of preferences is occupied by former presidential candidate George Forsyth (13.3%), who is now affiliated with Somos Perú.
César Hildebrandt questions Congress and Pedro Castillo
In his podcast, César Hildebrandt also referred to the index of rejection of the Legislative and President Pedro Castillo one year of management.
“85% disapproval and 10% approval (for Congress). Incredible. Mr. Castillo’s approval is unusually high in my opinion: 24% against 67% disapproval. Is this the Congress that is going to throw out Castillo, that is going to kick him out, that is going to remove him from his position? The Congress of 10% approval? The reflection is also this: Does Castillo have a 24% hard core, immovable popular soil?”, indicated the press man.
