Last week, the Superior Electoral Court (TSE) received the candidacy request of political scientist Felipe D’Ávila (Novo) for the Presidency of the Republic. As deputy, the administrator Tiago Mitraud (New) was registered.
D’Ávila declared to the Electoral Court R$ 24.6 million in equity, most of it under the heading “shares or shares of capital”, a term used to designate equity interests in companies of the type Ltda., for example. He is the richest candidate among the seven who have applied for registration so far.
All information about the candidacy as well as the candidate’s comprehensive government plan can be found at dissemination portal of candidates and accounts of the Electoral Justice.
The application for registration of candidacy in the Electoral Court is the first step towards the officialization of the names of candidates who have passed the party conventions and intend to run in the October elections.
The Electoral Justice can receive new candidacy registrations until August 15. In the case of presidential candidates, the TSE has until September 12 to judge, approving or rejecting, all registration requests, after analyzing whether or not all the formal requirements required by electoral legislation have been met.
Officially, the election campaign, when candidates can effectively ask for votes and publicize their numbers, starts on August 16.
