Two Venezuelans die in a traffic accident in Alta Guajira

Two Venezuelans who were traveling in a Mazda Milenio car died as a result of injuries sustained after hitting a truck that would have invaded their lane or was stopped without lights on the road that connects Cuatro Vías with Uribia, in Alta Guajira, Colombia.

The tragic accident of traffic occurred last Saturday approximately between 7:00 and 7:30 at night, indicates a report from the newspaper The Herald.

The front part of the Mazda car, identified with the Medellín license plate MMS 581, was completely destroyed by the strong impact produced when it collided with the structure of the truck, of which there are no further details, because the driver took the drain.

According to what was expressed by witnesses who were able to notice the moment in which the help of firefighters and the Police arrived, the person who was in the passenger seat died as a result of the strong impact received.

It was established that this person was apparently without identity documents and was taken to the town to then continue with the rigorous protocols.

The authorities also indicated that when they arrived at the scene, the driver of the car was still alive, who was identified as Yorvenis José Quiroz, who was said to be of Venezuelan nationality, as was the man who was with him.

Fire and Police

The body of this citizen was extracted from the car with the help of police and firefighters and quickly taken to the Uribia hospital where they stabilized him and immediately ordered his transfer to a more complex center in Maicao.

Yorvenis Quiroz was boarded in an ambulance that left him in the urgency of the San jose hospital of Maicao, where care procedures began, but he died shortly after admission.

They had a business together

According to versions known in the town of Uribia, the Venezuelans had been living in Uribia for a short time and had started a good micro-enterprise with the regular sale of empanadas and pre-cooked fingers that they sold in stores and smaller businesses.

The microenterprise was working and they had already acquired the car in which they distributed the orders in Uribia, Manaure and other nearby towns.
