The men’s foil and women’s épée achieved Cuba’s classification for the Central American and Caribbean Games of San Salvador 2023, thanks to their performances in the regional sports contest, also held in the capital of The Savior.
Both teams finished in fifth place in the contest and secured for Cuban fencing the quota of the three weapons in both sexes (six in total) for the oldest multi-sport event on the planet, scheduled from June 23 to July 8 of the year to come, according to office from the agency Latin Press (PL).
