A total of 462,888 mobile lines changed operating company in July of this year, exceeding by 6.00% what was achieved in the previous month (436,707 lines), however, there was a decline of 7.26% compared to what was reported in July 2021, reported the Supervisory Body for Private Investment in Telecommunications (Osiptel).
According to data from the PUNKU computer tool, portability in July was the third highest this year.
The growth was mainly due to the increase in ports in the postpaid segment (control and postpaid), which rose by 8.39% to 306,362. In this way, the postpaid segment represented 66.18% of the total lines that changed the operating company in the seventh month of the year.

Operators
In July the companies Entel, Claro and Suma Móvil obtained a positive net balance (the difference between lines gained and lost). Entel led the positive balance for July with 19,328 net mobile lines ported, followed by Claro with 8,244 and Suma Móvil with 5 net mobile lines ported, respectively. Meanwhile, Bitel (-25,324), Telefónica (-1,838), Flash (-265) and Guinea Mobile (-150) had a negative net balance.
Regarding fixed portability, 1,789 fixed lines changed operator in July 2022, which meant a decrease of 37.93% compared to the same month of the previous year, however, there was an improvement of 5.92% compared to June of the present year.
The operating companies Claro, Netline and Fravatel were the ones that achieved the greatest positive net balance with 1,132, 246 and 60 fixed lines, respectively. At the other extreme was Telefónica, with a negative net balance of 1,557 fixed lines.
