Two of the most emblematic cases of violence against citizens carried out by the armed forces, Gustavo Gatica and Carmen Gloria Quintana, came together to participate in an audiovisual piece in which both are protagonists, in the campaign in favor of the Approval option ahead of the constitutional plebiscite on September 4.
In the registry, both dialogue through a video call where they comment on the constituent process, highlighting the innumerable false news that have been around along this path. They also discuss the social struggle that has been dragging on in the country for decades, the legacy of the Pinochet Constitution, the attacks suffered by them and other Chileans, and among others.
Quintana was one of the victims of the “Caso Quemados”, being attacked by a military patrol in 1986 in the middle of a demonstration against the dictatorship. Her companion, Rodrigo Rojas De Negri, died from the consequences of her injuries. For his part, Gustavo Gatica, lost his vision after being hit by pellets fired by Carabineros in the context of the protests of the social outbreak.
