Three startup incubated from Piura Y Freedom They presented their ventures to investors who provided valuable feedback, in order to strengthen business models and attract capital, said the Development Bank of Peru (Cofide), which organized the Pitch Days 2022 for the first time.
According to Luis Eléspuru, general manager of Cofide, the Pitch Days They aim to connect the startup from different regions of our country with potential investors throughout the country and internationally to promote their ventures.
“We are pleased with the good acceptance we have had at the beginning. With this initiative, and in our role as a development bank, we seek to increase the exposure of early-stage technology-based Peruvian startups, with potential for scalability and rapid growth aimed at large markets, to investors interested in the Peruvian market. Likewise, we want to spread good international investment practices among the actors of this ecosystem.“, he pointed.
The first event, held on July 26 and co-organized with the regions of Piura and La Libertad, was attended by the startups Targox (Software for business management), Drone Films Project (audiovisual recording with drones for works) and Videame (interactive learning platform), which belong to the portfolio of the business incubators HUB UDEP of the University of Piura and Incubaunt of the National University of Trujillo.
Likewise, Meghan Stevenson-Krausz (director of INCA Ventures), Steven Lavado (director of Encofa Ventures) and Samantha Batista (investment leader of Seedstars) were present, who contributed a feedback at startup as part of the jury.
On this occasion, there were more than 300 virtual assistants (60% male and 40% female), most of whom joined from the regions of Lima, Piura, Trujillo, Arequipa, Chiclayo, Cusco and Huánuco, and whose profiles are entrepreneurs, students, corporate entrepreneurs and investors.
Cofide He mentioned that during this year they will organize five additional events between August and December. The next one will be held at the end of the month with a focus on the entrepreneurial ecosystem of Cusco and Puno.
