The permanent assembly for South Ramblawhich works against the sale of the Mauá Damcelebrated four years this Saturday with a show that included the emblematic human chain.
The event began in the early afternoon and was attended by the artists Diego Presa, Fernando Henry and Fernando Benech. The residents reject the possibility of the Mauá Dam becoming a passenger port, since according to them there will be environmental, social and road damages, which imply a break in the promenade.
The neighbors met on several occasions with national and municipal authorities seeking to be heard about the arguments they present to oppose the transformation of the area.
Subfluvial Outfall
The Uruguayan government must give Argentina the go-ahead for the construction of a sub-fluvial outfall for the domestic effluents that are produced on the neighboring shore.
It is about the Berazategui sub-fluvial outfall on which Uruguay requested, for its approval, an environmental impact report, the member of the Uruguayan delegation in the Administrative Commission of the Río de la Plata (CARP), Ricardo Planchón, explained to the Public Media.
