PDVSA firefighters and technicians travel to Cuba to help extinguish the fire

To support the work of extinguishing the fire caused by the impact of lightning in a crude oil storage tank in Matanzas, Cuba, a mission made up of 35 specialist firefighters and technicians from Petróleos de Venezuela, SA (PDVSA) departed for that country.

The information was released by the People’s Power Minister for Oil, Tareck El Aissami, on his Twitter account, @TareckPSUV, in which he highlighted that the staff sent is the most trained in this type of claim.

In the same way, he highlighted that in addition to firefighters specialized in highly complex operations, 20 tons of supplies (foam) and chemical powders were sent to attend to this contingency.

Likewise, the also Sectoral Vice President of the Economic Area, stated that these actions are carried out on the instructions of the President of the Bolivarian Republic of Venezuela, Nicolás Maduro, in order to offer “all our support and solidarity to revolutionary Cuba.”
