On Sunday, President Alberto Fernández congratulated the elected president of Chile, Gabriel Boric, and called for “working together to put an end to inequality in Latin America.”
“I want to congratulate Boric for having been elected president of the beloved people of Chile. We must assume the commitment to strengthen the bonds of brotherhood that unite our countries and to work together with the region to put an end to inequality in Latin America”, Fernández expressed from his Twitter account.

Then, the President congratulated the president-elect by telephone and in the conversation, which lasted for 10 minutes, Fernández said he was “very happy” by the result by noting that the region needs that “let’s take care and work together”, as reported by the Presidency.
“I wish you the best for you and for Chile. Here you have a friend and you are invited to come to Argentina whenever you want, and hopefully your first trip will be to our country”, added the president in the conversation.
Fernández assured that he will be present at Boric’s inauguration ceremony.
Also the vice president Cristina Fernández de Kirchner congratulated the elected president of Chile this Sunday and to the “people” of that country for the victory in the ballot that was held this Sunday.

Fernández de Kirchner completed his publication with congratulations to Boric and the “people of Chile”.
The right-wing candidate José Antonio Kast acknowledged his defeat in the ballot this Sunday in Chile and congratulated Boric, who gathered 55.87% of the votes when 99.90% of the official vote count had already been completed.
