Confirmed cases of covid-19 continue to decline in Mexico. The Ministry of Health (Ssa) reported yesterday that the cases increased by 17 thousand 986, with a total of 6 million 839 thousand 732. The deaths rose by 93, with a cumulative of 328 thousand 221.
Active cases, that is, with symptoms in the last 14 days, add up to 124,932, with an incidence rate of 96 per hundred thousand inhabitants. Mexico City, Baja California Sur and San Luis Potosí are the entities with the highest number of infections with transmission capacity.
The federal agency highlighted that the hospital occupancy rate fell again in general beds, to stand at 13 percent, which represents a drop of two percentage points in less than a week, while it remains unchanged for beds with a ventilator, intended for patients in critical condition, with 5 percent.
The daily average of cases per week was 12,433 for the period from July 24 to 30, which corresponds to epidemiological week 30, while from July 17 to 23, 21,000 were reported, which reflects a downward trend in the speed of propagation
