Through Call No. 3, the Vice Ministry of Transport (VMT) calls for an International Public Tender for the provision of public passenger transport service in six sections of the Metropolitan Area of Asunción.
The call aims to cover different itineraries that include the cities of Asunción, Ypané, Ñemby, San Lorenzo, Guarambaré, JA Saldívar, Fernando de la Mora, Capiatá, Fernando de la Mora and Lambaré.
The sections or lots tendered are the following:
1 – Line 99, Zonal Entity No. 5 (Ypane – Asunción)
2 – Redoubt Section, Zonal Entity No. 1 (Ñemby – San Lorenzo)
3 – Guarambaré Section, Zonal Entity No. 1 (Guarambaré – JA Saldivar)
4 – Section Villa Constitución, Zonal Entity No. 1 (Capiatá – Fernando de la Mora)
5 – Section Lambaré, Zonal Entity No. 6 (Lambaré – Asunción)
6 – Section San Carlos, Zonal Entity No. 4 (Ñemby – Fernando de la Mora)
All legally constituted national and international passenger transport companies that have acquired the Bidding Terms and Conditions (PBC) and that meet the requirements established therein may participate in the call.
The PBC – which will cost G. 5,000,000 – may be requested from the Cabinet of the Vice Ministry of Transportation under the Ministry of Public Works and Communications (MOPC). The interested party must submit a note addressed to the Vice Minister of Transportation, indicating the company name of the firm, address, telephone number and name of the legal representative, as well as the constitution of the company authenticated by a notary public.
The purchase and withdrawal of the PBC may be made every business day from August 16 to August 19, 2022, from 07:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m., at the VMT headquarters, located at Presidente Hayes Nº 410 almost Dr. Key Romero Pereira, Asuncion.
Bids from companies will be received until 09:00 on Monday, September 5, 2022, at the MOPC headquarters located at Oliva No. 411 esq. Alberdi, Asuncion. Subsequently, at 11:00, at the VMT premises, they will be opened before the officials designated by the Cabinet of the Vice Ministry and bidders who are present.
