Oswaldo Alexander Zambrano, alias el Coquito, was killed during a confrontation with members of the National Anti-Extortion and Kidnapping Command (Conas), according to military sources.
Three days ago the subject escaped from a Conas commission that was chasing him along the El Sombrero-Dos Caminos highway (Guárico). On that occasion, the man was traveling in a Volkwagen Gol Basi, white with green, license plate AA419OJ, which he abandoned on a section of the road.
During this persecution, Zambrano abandoned his companion Judith Milagros Peláez Dalias, who was captured.
But the persecution continued until this Wednesday Zambrano was sighted in the Aguas Negras sector, Ortiz municipality, Guárico state, where the military confronted members of the Casimiro group. In the fray Zambrano fell down.
A 9mm caliber pistol was seized at the scene.
The aforementioned criminal group is related to the homicide of the third-class sergeant major, Ezequiel Vicente Graterol Estrada, an event that occurred on July 19 between the towns of San Casimiro and San Sebastián de los Reyes (Aragua).
