Sergio Abreu, Secretary General of the Latin American Integration Association (ALADI)explained what is regulatory convergence all about, I affirm that tariffs have lost force as instruments of protection and that managed trade and unilateral decisions have the least developed countries as victims. And in that sense, he remarked, multilateral regulations are the guarantee of open, transparent and predictable international trade.
