The Republic President, Pedro Castillo, announced that he will take the oath of the new ministerial cabinet next Friday, August 5. To this end, the president invited the political parties to join his management and thus be able to form a “wide base cabinet” in order to deal with the political situation in which the country finds itself.
“I call on political parties, civil society and organizations to be part of a broad-based cabinet that works for Peru,” the head of state wrote on his Twitter account.
The cabinet must be renewed after falling into crisis before the resignation of former Prime Minister Aníbal Torres, who remained in office for almost six months. According to Torres, his departure from the PCM responds to personal reasons. Through his social networks, he stated that from now on he will dedicate himself, among other things, to what he is most passionate about: legal research.
