The United Socialist Party of Venezuela (PSUV) described the visit of the Speaker of the United States House of Representatives (USA), Nancy Pelosi, to Taiwan as “a direct provocation towards the People’s Republic of China”.
According to a release of the party, the PSUV “Rejects the provocation of war and aggression against the sovereignty of the sister People’s Republic of China by the Speaker of the United States House of Representatives with her interventionist visit to the island of Taiwan.”
Faced with this act of provocation by the US against China, the Venezuelan party expresses to the president of China, Xi Jinping, all the solidarity and support of the Bolivarian Revolution.
The Venezuelan socialist gang emphasizes that Pelosi’s visit to Taiwan violates the one-China principle. For the United Socialist Party of Venezuela, “the union of peoples is a guarantee of world peace.”
Solidarity and support towards China
“President Xi Jinping, today we are more united than ever, China and Venezuela are in good health, and China will attend this century setting an example,” stressed the president of the PSUV, Nicholas Maduro.
Likewise, the statement states that in these times of “attacks, threats and harassment that are being experienced, we ratify China all the solidarity and determined support of the Bolivarian revolution… count on Venezuelans as true brothers in South America for now and forever” , emphasized the PSUV.
Wisdom from China will face US attacks
For his part, the first vice president of the PSUV, Diosdado Cabello, stressed that China’s experience and wisdom will allow it to “successfully confront the attempts of US imperialism to unleash a new Cold War against its nation.”
“We are sure that the experience and strength accumulated by the People’s Republic of China, its worthy and wise government and its courageous people will allow it to successfully confront the attempts of US imperialism to unleash a new Cold War against its nation,” the document says.
