The president of the Argentine Rural Society (SRA), Nicolás Pino, announced that the Liaison Table will meet to plan the meeting on Friday with the Minister of Economy, Sergio Massa and was confident that the producers will liquidate their production by the chain operation.
“With the Liaison Table we will be meeting to see how we will go to the meeting,” Pino said this morning in dialogue with CNN Radio.
“I received a message from the new Secretary of Agriculture (Juan José Bahillo) and on Friday, surely, somewhere and at a time of day that he will confirm this Thursday, we would meet with him and (Sergio) Massa,” Pino said.
“What I saw is a Minister who takes office at a very difficult time. A Minister who is a person who knows a lot about politics”commented the head of the Rural Society regarding the appointment of Massa in charge of a portfolio that groups the areas of Economy, Productive Development and Agriculture.
Regarding the measures of the sector, Pino pointed out that “Massa marked or showed a little what the idea is”, but that “it will be a matter of discussing it with him”.
The new Minister announced, in the presentation of the guidelines of his management, that in the process of strengthening reserves it was agreed “a scheme for advancing foreign exchange for exports with the fishing, agricultural, mining and other sectors, which will earn US$5 billion in the coming days”.
“I understand that the Minister has surely talked with the exporting companies and they are anticipating something in particular,” Pino said about the announcement.
At the same time, regarding the new instrument arranged by the Central Bank to encourage agricultural producers to liquidate their harvest, the rural leader affirmed that “he is half green in how the instrumentation will be.”
