This Wednesday, August 3, the INE reported that the Consumer Price Index (CPI) for July registered a monthly variation of 0.77%, accumulated in the year of 6.86%, and in the last 12 months of 9, 56%, this is the highest figure since January, outside the target range.
In the last 12 months to May, inflation stood at 9.37%, in April it was also 9.37%, while in March it was 9.38%, in February 8.85% and in January 8.15% .
The main incidences in the monthly variation of the CPI come from the following divisions: Food and Non-Alcoholic Beverages (0.26), Housing (0.07), Health (0.10), Transportation (0.08) and Restaurants and hotels (0.11).
Unemployment
On the other hand, the INE reported data on activity, employment and unemployment.
In June 2022, the global activity, employment and unemployment rates stood at: 61.8%, 56.7% and 8.4%, respectively.
This is the highest value since the beginning of the year, since in January unemployment stood at 7.4%, in February it was 7.3%, March (7.7%) April also 7.7% and May 8 ,1%.
