The Attorney General’s Office (FGR) reported that it is investigating former President Enrique Peña Nieto for alleged money laundering, electoral crimes and illicit enrichment. The FGR detailed that a first case includes various complaints in which the company OHL (currently called Aleatica) is involved, both in crimes of an electoral nature, as well as patrimonial.

The FGR indicated that based on complaints filed by the Financial Intelligence Unit (UIF), in charge of Pablo Gómez, is integrating an investigation folder against EPN for money laundering and possible illegal international transfers. The investigations at the federal level against OHL, now Aleatica, on alleged corruption date back to 2019.
