Club Olimpia fails to find the right path in the Clausura championship, a situation that stirred the hornet’s nest in the fringed camp, setting up the rumor about the dismissal of the coach despite having positive numbers.
Julio César Cáceres assumed the position of head coach on October 14, 2021, so far he has directed 51 games, of which he obtained 29 wins, seven draws and 15 losses. His first game as strategist for the Black Strip absolute team was against Guaireña, on October 17, 2021, where he agreed to his first victory in the Professional Division, with a 0-2 result over Villarrica’s .
CHAMPIONSHIPS
Under his command, Cáceres became champion of the Paraguay Cup, winning the final against Sol de América from a penalty shootout, since during the 90 minutes, the game ended tied 2-2, at the Defensores del Chaco stadium. Through this title, Olimpia reached the final of the first edition of the Super Cup.

That is why a new coaching staff was formed headed by Julio César Cáceres, Francisco Esteche as main assistant, David Villalba as second assistant and Professor Elvio Paulorosso in physical preparation.
LIMITATIONS
On January 3 of the current year, Olimpia received the FIFA sanction, which prevents the hiring of soccer players for two consecutive seasons as a result of non-payment to Dynamo kyiv by striker Derlis González. GROUP PHASE
Fluminense was the next to face, in the first leg Olimpia achieved an important victory that the Brazilian team knew how to equalize in the second leg, forcing a penalty shootout. From the 12 steps, the Dean managed to enter the group stage of the Copa Libertadores de América 2022.
