Constitution Commission of the Lower House will begin discussion on Wednesday on the project that reduces the quorum of reforms to the current Magna Carta

The members of the Constitution Commission of the Chamber of Deputies and Deputies agreed this Tuesday, and unanimously, that they will review on Wednesday the project that lowers the quorum of reforms to the current Constitution to 4/7.

The Commission session will begin at 3:00 p.m. The legislators of the instance – chaired by the deputy Karol Cariola (PC)- also agreed that the project will be voted on in general.

Likewise, the commission resolved to invite the minister of the General Secretariat of the Presidency (Segpres), George Jacksonand the undersecretary of the portfolio, Macarena Lobos.

Let us remember that the Senate approved the project on July 20, with 41 votes in favor, two against and one abstention.

The motion was introduced by the DC senators Ximena Rincon, Matthias Walker, Ivan Flowersand the independent Peter Araya.
