Constant drinking water distribution operations are currently being carried out in Baja California Sur, Coahuila, Jalisco, Nuevo León, San Luis Potosí and Sonora, reported the National Water Commission (Conagua). He indicated that only in Monterrey since April have distributed 34 million 130 thousand liters of drinking water for 160 thousand 300 inhabitants.
In a statement, he added that in La Paz and Loreto, Baja California Sur, the distribution has been 3 million 820 thousand liters to more than 22 thousand 600 people. In Francisco I. Madero, San Pedro and Torreón, Coahuila, more than 34 thousand residents have been provided with more than 5 million 900 thousand liters, and in El Salto, Jalisco, 20 thousand people, with 4 million 900 thousand liters.
Also in the municipalities of San Luis Potosí, Santa María del Río and Villa de Arista, in San Luis Potosí, the water supply has reached 7 million 760 thousand liters, which have been delivered to more than 25 thousand 500 inhabitants.
Among the measures aimed at reducing flood risks is the pumping of residual water carried out in Altamira, Tamaulipas, where more than one million 90 thousand cubic meters of sewage have been extracted from drainage systems, benefiting some 192 thousand settlers.
In support of the agricultural irrigation of Irrigation District 109 San Lorenzo, located in Culiacán, Sinaloa, more than 4 million 650 thousand m³ of water have been pumped to favor more than 4 thousand 650 hectares of 466 users.
