At 9:50 am this Tuesday, the bases of the Veragüenses Educators Association (AEVE), in the province of Veraguas, decided to lift the national strike.
Veraguas educators, who met this Tuesday, hope that the students may return to the classroom this Wednesday, August 3.
According to the Minister of Education, Maruja Gorday de Villalobos, the general secretary of AEVE, Luis Sánchez, informed her that they agree with the document signed at the dialogue table on the educational issue.
He emphasized that in Veraguas there are also educators who do not belong to the AEVE and there has also been talk that the teacher who wishes to return to the classroom does so.
