This generated the indignation of the health workers who went out to protest energetically, because despite being considered in the shifts of the day, they were not allowed to attend to the patients. “Yesterday we were heroes and now we have been fired, because of the Government, the Cas covid in the streets,” they shouted.

Nurse Isabel Huertas from the Carrión hospital said that the servers with a Cas Covid contract worked until July 31, but yesterday they were no longer allowed to enter to attend to patients.
“In all the hospitals today, they have denied us admission, they have thrown us out on the street, we are workers who spent two years of the pandemic fighting for our patients, when fear of covid invaded and nobody wanted to work in the hospital, we we have shown our faces and now they are throwing us out,” the worker claimed.
No guidelines issued by the MEF and MINSA
He noted that in addition to doctors, nurses, nursing technicians, there are also nutrition technicians and even ambulance drivers, who need to return to their work.
Finally, he said that they agree with a contest, but asked that the rules be clear and clean.
For his part, the regional director of Health of Junín, Luis Zúñiga Villacresis, stated that the contracts of the covid CAS ended on July 31 and therefore their work was suspended.
However, he clarified that according to the new law approved by the Government, the servers will have their work guaranteed as soon as the central level guidelines come out and that for this they have been asked to wait from 48 to 72 hours to solve the problem, but he referred that no one will be fired.

“Health workers ask for job stability and we are guaranteeing it to see the remuneration policies that lead to this process that must be clarified by the Ministry of Economy and Finance and the Ministry of Health, because without having a budget we cannot tell them to go to work,” he said.
Likewise, the director of Health, Luis Zúñiga Villacresis, referred that there are 2,750 Cas covid workers for whom a budget of approximately S / 24 million is required.
After protesting in front of the hospitals, they went to the Junín Regional Health Directorate and then held a sit-in at the Junín Regional Government.
The Governor (e) of the Regional Government of Junín, Clever Mercado Méndez said that after the meeting with the representatives, they were informed that no worker who works by contract Cas covid will be fired.
Finally, he mentioned that the change from CAS Covid contracts to regular CAS is positive, to close the gaps in human resources that exist in the Junín region. He also highlighted the frontline work they carried out in the most critical stage of the pandemic.
