Opecu: Fuel reference prices fall up to 3.26% per gallon, but are not reflected in the sale

Fuel reference prices fall 6.68% and "should be reflected" in the country, says Opecu

The (Osinergmin) published this Monday the report on international reference prices for oil-derived fuels with a drop of up to 3.26% per gallon, with the exception of gasohol and gasoline 84, reported the (Opec).

Likewise, the agency mentioned that the price of bottled and bulk LPG did not vary.

In this regard, the president of Opecu, Héctor Plate Cánepa, maintained that these prices are not being reflected in the sale to the consumer.

The falls in reference fuel prices continue without a brake, and it is unacceptable that the falls are not being transferred completely and without delay. Abuse must be stopped now”, he referred.

International reference prices for fuels derived from petroleum on August 1, 2022

  • Gashol 84. It increases from S/ 10.37 to S/ 10.41 and rises slightly S/ 0.04 or 0.39% per gallon, equivalent to S/ 0.05 including taxes, in the domestic market.
  • Gashol 90. Discount from S/ 11.96 to S/ 11.73 declining in S/ 0.23 or 1.92% per gallon, whose equivalence is S/ 0.29 including taxes, in fuel establishments in the country.
  • Gashol 95. It drops from S/ 12.66 to S/ 12.32, losing S/ 0.34 or 2.69% per gallon, which should be reflected in S/ 0.43 per gallon, including taxes, at the national level.
  • Gasoholes 97 and 98. They fall from S/ 13.19 to S/ 12.76, subtracting S/ 0.43 or 3.26% per gallon, which should impact S/ 0.55 per gallon, including taxes, at taps and service stations.
  • Gasoline 84. It grows from S/ 10.24 to S/ 10.28 and increases S/ 0.04 or 0.39% per gallon, equivalent to S/ 0.05 including taxes.
  • Gasoline 90. Contract from S/ 11.96 to S/ 11.71, declining S/ 0.25 or 2.09% per gallon, thus its price will vary downwards by S/ 0.32 including taxes.
  • Diesel B5 (0 to 2500 ppm). It drops from S/ 14.95 to S/ 14.73, reducing S/ 0.22 or 1.47% per gallon, with an impact of S/ 0.26 including tax, in the Peruvian market.
  • Diesel B5 (2500-5000ppm). Discount from S/ 12.45 to S/ 12.29 and lower S/ 0.16 or 1.29% per gallon, whose equivalence is S/ 0.19 including tax.
  • Industrial Oils. The six and 500 residuals rise from S/ 8.99 to S/ 9.50 and from S/ 8.79 to S/ 9.31 per gallon, increasing by S/ 0.51 or 5.67% and S/ 0.52 or 5.92% equivalent to S/ 0.60 and S/ 0.61 including taxes, respectively.
  • LPG. It remains unchanged.
