The FUS decided to carry out a partial general strike on August 23 from 8:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m., and call for a mobilization towards the Ministry of Labor, within the framework of the salary negotiation.
The strike will take place both in Montevideo and in the interior of the country, according to each local reality to encourage participation.
claim platform
The FUS has presented, within the framework of the discussion of the Salary Councils of the sector, a claiming platform that includes: the defense of employment, the signing of a three-year Collective Agreement without salary loss, prioritizing the lowest salaries, and the payment of the variable salary item.
The private health sector also demands an improvement in working conditions through the operation of the Commission voted in the last Collective Agreement, and the inclusion in the award of the new working conditions, breaks, staffing and early retirement as it was resolved by the 19th FUS Congress.
Other proposals are: Salary growth according to the development of the economy. If the economy grows, the salary must grow in the same proportion, integrate Mobile Emergencies into the National Integrated Health System (SNIS) and regulate its operation.
The FUS also calls for the defense and deepening of the SNIS reform, to regulate the Companion Services sector, and to integrate the FUS delegation to the Salary Councils with the delegates: Jorge Bermúdez and Harlington Píriz as heads, Soraya Larrosa and Héctor Dos Santos as alternates, with the advice of Ec. Pablo Da Rocha and FUS Attorney Gonzalo Galíndez.
