The Argentine Gonzalo Higuaín was chosen as the best player of the twenty-third day of the MLS, after scoring a hat-trick last Saturday in the 4-4 draw against Cincinnati.
Higuaín, a former Real Madrid, Napoli, Juventus and Chelsea player, among others, won this award for the second time in his career, after taking it on matchday five last season.
The Argentine striker scored his hat-trick in the space of half an hour in the first half of the match against Cincinnati, although he left the field with bittersweet feelings, as his team, who took the lead three times, did not go beyond a 4-4 draw.
He is the second Inter Miami player to win this award this season, after Ecuadorian Leonardo Campana.
Higuaín has scored seven goals so far this season and his team is in eleventh position in the East, three points behind the playoff positions.
On the next day, Inter Miami will visit the San José Earthquakes. EFE
