Johanna Ortega; “I want a fair and supportive Paraguay”

Johanna Ortega, candidate for deputy for the Concertación, is 35 years old, from Asuncion, born in the Barrio Obrero and a fan of Cerro Porteño. She recognizes herself as a big fan of her club. Her family is made up of her mother, her father, and her four siblings, all minors (one girl and three boys).

Between 1994 and 2005 he lived in Ciudad del Este and between 2007 and 2008 he lived in Buenos Aires. In Argentina she was studying medicine for two years at the University of Buenos Aires but decided to change careers and returned to the country. In addition to medicine, he studied political science, although he is currently in the process of presenting his thesis.

He decided to run for mayor of Asunción last year because he believes that young people and women should hold positions in politics. “Above all, people who are not normally in politics must occupy spaces, that was my main motivation, in addition to having the support of a team of young people who gave impetus to my campaign,” she said.

The anxiety of wanting changes immediately. Want things instantly.

Reading, I am very monothematic, always about politics. Read speeches by former presidents. I look for speeches of political references and I read. An example is the speech of General Liber Seregni when he founded the Broad Front, he was a Uruguayan soldier.

7. Your ideal of happiness?

My ideal of happiness has to do with a fairer and more supportive Paraguay.

8. What would be your greatest misfortune?

Losing my parents.

Republic President.

In Paraguay always.

Violet.

Carnation.

Amanda. I have a friend named that. In general I like it and because of a song by Víctor Jara that she is called; “I remember you Amanda”.

The mess.

The dishonesty.

Alfredo Stroessner.

25. A feat of arms that you admire?

None because I am a pacifist.

26. What virtue would you like to possess?

The peace of mind to accept does not happen so soon. The passivity.

I am almost always cheerful. I always wake up positive.

29. What defects inspire you the most indulgence?

All shortcomings can be forgiven, as long as people are willing to change. I usually try not to judge anyone.
