With the resumption of flights to Venezuela by Iberia, there are now four airlines that cover the Madrid-Caracas route: Air Europa, Iberia, Conviasa and Plus Ultra
The Spanish airline Iberia will resume its direct flights to Caracas, with a frequency of three trips per week, thus beginning the winter season, as reported by the company through its web portal.
“Iberia complies with its commitment to recover direct flights to Rio de Janeiro and Caracas, its last two destinations still pending after the pandemic, and, starting in November, will offer three weekly frequencies on each of the routes”, the company said.
According to information provided by industry representatives, the flights will be on Tuesdays, Fridays and Sundays departing from Madrid at 11:55 am with arrival at the international airport of Maiquetía at 16:20 pm, while the departure from the Venezuelan airport will be at 18:20 pm with arrival at 8:00 am in Madrid. The operations will be carried out in the Airbus A350 with 334 seats.
The airline indicated that it continues to work to consolidate the recovery of its entire network of flights and destinations, and this winter has scheduled the same capacity it offered before the pandemic thanks, above all, to the relaunch of its latest routes in Latin America and its commitment to the US.
“The other most relevant growths in this market will be: Havana, which goes from three to five weekly frequencies, the Guatemala-El Salvador route, from five to seven weekly frequencies, and in Quito six weekly flights are consolidated, to which are added another three with Guayaquil,” he said.
With the resumption of flights to Venezuela by Iberia, There are already four airlines that cover the Madrid-Caracas route: Air Europa, Iberia, Conviasa and Plus Ultra.
Recently, Humberto Figuera, executive president of the Venezuelan Airline Association (ALAV), indicated that with Iberia flights there are already 12 direct flights a week to Madrid from where you can also make connections to other destinations. He recalled that the TAP airline also resumed operations from Portugal to Venezuela last June.
